Class Badgers - Water Cycle Topic
As part of our water cycle topic this term, Class Badgers watched the 'World Toilet Day' online assembly to find out where our water goes after we use it. They then went on a field trip to study the local river and water treatment plant, so that they could relate their learning to our local community. Class Badgers learned that once water has been treated, it is returned to the water supply.
We have been carrying out investigations in our Science lessons, during which we have found out about the changing states of matter. The field trip enabled the children to link their knowledge of solids, liquids and gases (and the processes involved in changing state) to the geography of our local area.
As part of their learning about Community in RE, Class Badgers visited All Saints Church, Wold Newton and St Mary and St Gabriel Church, Binbrook. They found out about the Christian community in our local area and compared key features of the two churches.
Fluffy Friday
Class Badgers have been making themselves comfortable with their favourite reading books during 'Fluffy friday' this term. There have been some great book recommendations and lots of discussion about what the children enjoy reading.
